Intro: Three quick steps from browsing to bicycling

  • Find your route

Start by getting inspired and figuring out which route you want to explore! Check out our Routes page for recommendations (down the coast to Holy Island is a top favourite), or call us if any questions. Remember we offer delivery/ pick-up if you fancy tackling a longer one-way route vs a round-trip.

  • Get your bikes

Do you want the luxury boost of an E-Bike, or prefer to stick to pure pedal power? Pick the right bike for you - more info below. We’re happy to deliver your bikes to you, or collect & ride from our location near Scremerston (free parking on site, and great routes on our doorstep including to Holy Island).

  • Enjoy the ride!

The most important bit: hop on your bike, start pedalling, and enjoy! We’ll give you a quick intro to the bikes before you start, and provide helmets, locks, lights. Our recommended routes are easy to follow, but we’re available on the phone for any questions as you explore. Let the good times roll!

Our bikes:

Get to know our fleet of bikes here! You can also see profiles of our bikes out exploring on our Instagram @goodtimesbikes.

Every bike comes with a helmet, lock, and lights. All E-Bikes come with their charging kit if rented for more than one day.

All about our E-Bikes

  • How they work: The motor is based on pedal-assist, i.e. it amplifies the power from your pedalling (either a little or a LOT, based on what assist level you choose). You can easily click the assist level up and down as you ride along. Otherwise, they ride just like a normal bike.

  • Range: Depends on how much assistance you use (e.g. how many hills, how much pedal-assist you choose, etc). As a rule of thumb, our Classic level E-Bikes cover approx. 50km from 1 charge and our Premium level cover 65km.

  • Speed: The bikes travel at up to 22-27 mph, depending on the bike. On the flat you’ll usually be cycling at ~15 mph.

  • Riding style: Comfy! Most of our E-Bikes have a slightly upright cruiser position, but we have a few with a sportier position too (see photos).

  • Brands: Giant or Giant Momentum

  • Who can ride: Anyone aged at least 14 years old who can safely ride a normal bicycle

  • Tech/ model specifics: In our Premium range we offer the Giant Explore E+1 625 w/H and the Giant AnyTour E+2 625 w/H. In our Classic range we offer the Giant Daily Tour E+3 500wH.
