Our bikes:
Get to know our fleet of bikes here! You can also see photos of our bikes out exploring on our Instagram @goodtimesbikes.
Every bike comes with a helmet, lock, and lights. All E-Bikes come with their charging kit if rented for more than one day.
All about our E-Bikes
How they work: The motor is based on pedal-assist, i.e. it amplifies the power from your pedalling (either a little or a LOT, based on what assist level you choose). You can easily click the assist level up and down as you ride along. Otherwise, they ride just like a normal bike.
Range: Depends on how much assistance you use (e.g. how many hills, how much pedal-assist you choose, etc). As a rule of thumb, our E-Bikes will easily cover 50km - 65km from 1 charge. They’ll easily power you on a medium assist level from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Holy Island and return.
Speed: The bikes travel at up to 15 mph, depending on the bike. On the flat you’ll usually be cycling at ~12 mph with electrical assistance.
Riding style: Comfy! Our E-Bikes have a slightly upright cruiser position, with comfortable wide seats.
Who can ride: Anyone aged at least 14 years old who can safely ride a normal bicycle.
Models: Giant Momentum E-Bikes in the Vida and Transend models. Most are step-thru (email us in advance to ensure your bike is a step-thru).
Our Adult Pedal bikes
Easy-riding pedal bikes. (They are ‘hybrid’ style, i.e. a cross between a road bike and a mountain bike. Most have front suspension. Note these are not E-Bikes).
Perfect for our quiet local roads and cycle tracks in summer, e.g. Cycle Route 1 to Holy Island.
Brands: Giant, Liv, Riverside
Range of adult sizes available.
Our Kids bikes
Fun, general purpose kids bikes, suitable for roads, tracks and cycle paths.
Brands: Wild, Frog
Range of sizes available (size guide provided on booking page)
Kids must be at least 6 years old to ride, and the adult booking the hire must be 18+.
